The Handmaid’s Tale S5

Based on Margaret Atwood’s critically acclaimed dystopian novel, the multiple-award-winning series The Handmaid’s Tale returns for its fifth season with June needing to redefine her identity and purpose, and face the consequences of her actions in the dramatic Season 4 finale. While the mission to save Hannah continues, Serena works to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence spreads, and Commander Lawrence works with Aunt Lydia as he tries to reform Gilead and rise in power.

The show’s 15 Emmy Awards include wins for Elisabeth Moss (who’s also won a Critics Choice Award, a Golden Globe, and an MTV Movie & TV Award for the role), Ann Dowd, Bradley Whitford, and Samira Wiley, with nominations for Yvonne Strahovski, Max Minghella, O-T Fagbenle, and Madeline Brewer, all of whom return for the new season, along with Amanda Brugel, McKenna Grace and Sam Jaeger.

The Handmaid’s Tale has an 83% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 8.4/10 on IMDb.
