A little darker than the other series on this list, this is one of the most satisfying crime thrillers to binge because the crimes in question are just so twisted. Detective Robin Griffin (Elisabeth Moss in a Golden Globe-winning role) is a Sydney detective who returns to her New Zealand home town in Season 1 to investigate the disappearance of a 12-year-old girl whose father had just discovered that she was pregnant when she went missing. While looking for clues on Tui’s whereabouts, Robin has to confront the ghosts of her past. In Season 2, she returns to Sydney to rebuild her life and is confronted with another mystery that resonates with her when the body of an Asian girl is found in a suitcase that washes up on the beach.
