The annual African Movie Academy Awards celebrate the best films from across the continent and the big winner at the 2018 awards was South Africa’s very first western, Five Fingers for Marseilles. Directed by Michael Matthews, the hit film won five awards, including Best Film, Achievement in Production Design, Achievement in Cinematography, Best Film in an African Language and Best First Feature Film by a Director.
