3 reasons Bonang has already won 2019
If you had to write a short story about one of the most hardworking and inspiring South African entertainers, who would it be? Without even thinking too much about it, we would probably choose Bonang Matheba (see her in all her glory in Seasons 1-3 of her reality show Being Bonang, streaming on Showmax). Surely she deserves to be mentioned in the history books, and not just for what she’s done in the past, but for what she’s managed to achieve this year alone.
1. She’s a boss (babe)
We’ve lost count of the number of magazine covers this powerhouse has been on. We doubt she’s even counting at this point! She was recently unveiled as Cosmopolitan magazine’s April cover star. In the issue, Bonang shares tips on work, life and love. We bet there’s something we can all learn from Moghel.

2. Her new brand, House of BNG – champagne, darling!
This is something that some of us didn’t see coming, but it makes perfect sense. Last week, Queen B launched the House of BNG Brut Rosé Methode Cap Classique. Now this is a boss move and it completely fits her brand. If you’ve been following her on Being Bonang, you’ll have noticed that champagne is her thing. You’ve probably heard her saying, “Champagne, darling” a million times so it makes sense for her to have her own brand.

Her launch was a success and was even attended by her former bestie, Living the Dream with Somizi star, Somizi Mhlongo. They’ve both confirmed that they kissed and made up and we couldn’t be happier. Does this mean we’ll be seeing them on each other’s reality shows? Well, that would be reality TV gold!
Anyway, back to House of BNG. Fans have come out in numbers to support Bonang’s new business venture. Throughout the week, they’ve been sharing images and videos of themselves either drinking or buying the beverage. She’s definitely making money with this one.

3. Wedding bells (maybe)
Although we haven’t seen her with a man after her breakup, Ms Matheba is “very taken”, as she told the team on Metro FM’s Fresh Breakfast. When asked about the gorgeous bling on her ring finger, Bonang said on the show. “I didn’t come here to talk about my personal life.”
But it looks like she’s in a serious relationship. Responding to a tweet by Trending SA host Dr Musa Mthombeni, the former radio presenter led fans to believe that she’d married by the end of 2019.
Married. ❤️

All we can say is that it’s been a very fruitful year for Bonang, and it’s only a quarter way through. Wondering how she does it all? Well, she does share a few of her winning secrets on her successful reality show Being Bonang. Stream or download Seasons 1-3 on Showmax.
